New Careers in 2 Years website launches

Greater Reading Economic Partnership (GREP) is pleased to announce the re-launch of the Careers in 2 Years website; The new website features in-depth information for both students and their parents on technical education and careers in the Greater Reading area.

Information on the website includes:

  • Education options
  • Frequently asked questions
  • Examples of careers and job titles with associated salaries
  • Relevant news
  • Section dedicated to parents

The re-development of the improved website was a collaborative effort in partnership with Berks Career and Technology Center (BCTC), Reading Muhlenberg Career and Technology Center (RMCTC), and Reading Area Community College (RACC).

The re-development of was made possible in-part by the Arrow International Scholarship Fund of Berks County Community Foundation.

About the Careers in 2 Years marketing campaign

Over the past three years, GREP has met with 100+ Greater Reading companies. More than 47% of these companies identified a lack of technical skills as a workforce challenge and a constraint to expanding their business. Based on this critical workforce need, GREP developed a marketing campaign, Careers in 2 Years. The campaign is designed to raise awareness about career opportunities and address perceptions that technical education does not provide successful career pathways. The campaign will also be implementing new focuses on business management, and healthcare training in the future.
